Wait, is this checkout secure?.

Oh my yes, I assure you checkout is properly encrypted, and all your info is as safe and sound. So why is there no little lock icon down on the bottom of your screen? Well, the short answer is that I run the nice secure checkout page in a frame.

A frame, for those outside of the nerd world, basically makes it so there is a page displayed within another page. In this case I use a shopping cart provided by Spreadshirt.com that is placed within my product pages here at wearscience.com. The wrapping page just provides the pictures and navigation and doesn't have see any private information (and thus isn't encrypted) while checkout frame actually takes your order and sees your info (and thus is fully secured and encrypted). The thing is web browsers wont add the little lock icon unless both a frame and the page around it are both encrypted, so despite the fact you are safe, you'll see no little lock.

But hell, don't take my word for it, see for yourself. If you feel safer with the lock in place I understand! Simply click on the little cart icon and it'll open the frame all by itself, and sure enough, the little lock is back!
